I had so much fun on this shoot for so many reasons. First of all, Kat is a friend of ours and is a joy to be around. Secondly, she always looks amazing in pictures! After having shot her engagement photos, I knew the bridal photos were going to turn out great. So I booked a session at one of my favorite Chicago suburbs wedding venues, the Danada House. This historic venue was once the home of a Kentucky Derby winning horse, and comes complete with authentic Kentucky horse stables.
I was already in a great mood just getting out of the city and taking in the fresh air. I was also in a good mood because I had my bag fully stocked with my Canon 5dii, an 85mm 1.2 L series, a 24-70 and a wide angle lens. In addition I had a Profoto b2 with a small softbox. This provided just enough of an extra kick of light to fill in the details amazingly. Kat was once again a natural in front of the camera and the afternoon went flawlessly. Check out her gallery for our full bridal photography session.
